Deborah Fried-Rubin will be reading at Oh, Bernice! on Weds, Dec. 14 at 7pm at Alewife NYC in Long Island City.
Fried-Rubin is pursuing her second MFA in Creative Writing at Queens College, CUNY, focusing on poetry and fiction after many years of practicing law, and is a recipient of Queens College’s Silverstein-Peiser Award for Poetry and a former writer-in-residence at the Louis Armstrong House Museum. She is the author of two chapbooks of poetry, Language of the Lost and Found and Go Soon (Finishing Line Press), and her work has appeared in the anthology Why I Am Not A Painter and at Broadsided online, as well as in Women Studies Quarterly’s VIRAL issue, and in Permafrost.
